The product component design enables new products to be implemented in
short time scales whilst still affording a high level of customisation. This ensures that
data and rating requirements can be satisfied in full without compromises.
Policy Administration includes the ability to assign a system generated
or manual quote, policy, lineslip or binder number. Defaults such as Commission and
Payment method details can be set at Agent level as appropriate.
Details can be held at policy or risk occurrence level. These include
Address, Insured or Vehicle. Occurrence processing allows for multiple risk occurrences
to be held on a single policy.
The sequence of data entry, and the data captured can be designed to
match existing and new requirements.
Policy underwriting is controlled by user-level security, which
determines underwriting limits, access and authority rights.
Rating Engine
Bespoke rating requirements can be included for all aspects of the
premium calculation, including the sequence of loads and discounts by section, line of
cover or peril.
The premium breakdown screen allows Monthly and/or Annual amounts to be
displayed, showing separately Tax, Commission, Administration fees and European taxation
layers.
Agreed Premiums can be set at Policy level, with automatic adjustment
of the corresponding section premiums, tax and commission amounts. (Original calculated
figures are maintained).
Underwriting
The system can be set up to generate referrals based on client or policy
data and the users authority limits. Subsequent authorisation can be linked to
workflow, with automated email
notification.
Clauses and policy wordings can be applied manually or automatically,
based upon policy level pre-conditions. Where required, amendment of the clause text is
made simple with the in-built text editor facility.
Policy Transactions
All transactions (quotation, new business, mid-term amendment,
cancellation, reinstatement and renewal) generate the appropriate
billing, accounting, statistical information, and policy related documentation.
Any policy transaction can be 'wound back' and subsequently rolled
forward. An audit trail is maintained, as well as the historic versions of the policy.
Policy Activity
Through Activity full
details of all inward and outward policy related communications are visible in an
activity viewer. Ad-hoc documents can be created, using pre-defined templates or from
scratch.
Policy related workflow tasks can be scheduled or cleared.
Renewals Processing
Renewals can be initiated manually or as part of a batch process. Cost
Index adjustments can be included as part of the renewal process.
Through a simple-to-use interface, policies due for renewal within a set
time frame can be prepared and confirmed. The re-rating process allows for stop conditions
and checks for any new referrals. Renewal reports and documents are automatically
generated.
Search Facilities
The policy search facility allows policies to be identified using
minimal matching criteria, including pattern and wildcard searches. Searching can be
performed through client information, address (risk or correspondence), additional
insured/interested parties and policy information.
Lines Of Business
Phoenix is specifically designed to be line of business independent,
allowing it to handle diverse lines of business. Some of the lines of business already
being administered through Phienix include Commercial Combined, Liability, Terrorism,
Professional Indemnity, Fine Art, Personal Accident, Household, Travel, Motor, Medical
and very specialised schemes.
